Scream queen Samara Weaving (The Babysitter, Ready or Not, Mayhem) and Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming, No Way Home) are joining the cast of Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Scream sequel, Bloody Disgusting reports.

They appear alongside Dermot Mulroney in the franchise’s sixth instalment, with the film scheduled to begin filming this summer. Scream 5 (released simply as Scream) stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega are returning, joined Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Hayden Panettiere reprising her Scream 4 fan-favourite character, Kirby Reed.

Plot details are being kept masked and cloaked, though the logline states that Scream 6 “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” The characters will reportedly be heading to the Big Apple – you know, where murders never happen.

James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick also return to pen the script, with two-thirds of the filmmaking collective Radio Silence – Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett – again in the directors’ seat. The duo previously directed Samara Weaving in their social horror flick, Ready or Not, in which she starred as a bride being hunted by her in-laws.

It is not yet known when the sixth Scream film might release.
