In some news that will be sure to please many a genre fan, Sam Neill has confirmed that he’ll be a part of Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Speaking to Shortlist, Neill, best known to our readers for the likes of The Omen III and the Jurassic World franchise, revealed, “I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here. If I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents – and they are lethal – will come and get me and probably my children, as well.”

Whilst we’re in the dark on just what role Sam Neill will be playing in Ragnarok, the film will mark a reunion for the actor with both Taika Waititi and Jeff Goldblum. Neill appeared in Waititi’s most recent movie, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and obviously also starred with Goldblum in Jurassic Park.

In Ragnarok, Neill joins a cast that’s currently made up of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Idris Elba as Hemidall, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Cate Blanchett as Hela, and Tom Hiddleston back once more as Loki.

Thor: Ragnarok is set for a November 3rd, 2017 release.
