Popular horror-driven video game Little Nightmares is being brought to small screen live-action life by Anthony and Joe Russo.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the Russos are developing a TV series based around the game, which itself was only released this past April. The Russo Brothers, of course, directed the stunning Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the action-packed Captain America: Civil War, and are currently filming both next year’s Avengers: Infinity War and its 2019 follow-up.

In addition to the Russos, A Nightmare Before Christmas’ Henry Selick is on board to direct the pilot episode of Little Nightmares, with him also possibly returning to helm further episodes if all goes well. DJ2 Entertainment’s Dmitri M. Johnson and Stephan Bugaj will be serving as executive producers along with the Russo Brothers.

Plot-wise, the Little Nightmares video game centres on a 9-year-old girl, Six, who winds up trapped on the bottom of a creepy ship called The Maw. From there, young Six has to fight off a whole host of nefarious, evil threats as she looks to escape.

As ever, expect more on this Little Nightmares series as we get it.
