With Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens now destroying box office records and winning plaudits from fans and critics alike, the next big movie on the horizon for many is March’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Well that film has now seemingly had its runtime revealed.

According to DC Comics Movie, it looks as if the Dark Knight and Man of Steel’s tear-up-cum-team-up is going to be quite the time-consumer, clocking in at 151 minutes. That’s a runtime of just over 2 1/2 hours. In fairness, a lot of the DC-based movies of recent years tend to clock in at longer than their Marvel counterparts, so it isn’t a massive surprise to see the coming together of these two powerhouses given ample time to play out.

When you look at it, there’s quite a lot to cram in when it comes to Zack Snyder’s movie. After all, the Caped Crusader and the Last Son of Krypton need to throw hands before officially becoming BFFs, then there’s the arrival of Wonder Woman on the scene to help them stop Doomsday, the ever-looming presence of Lex Luthor, not to mention appearances in some form from Aquaman, Cyborg-in-waiting Victor Stone, and The Flash, and even rumours of Nightwing maybe even popping up at some point.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits cinemas worldwide on March 25th.
