In another interesting move from Archie Comics, two of gaming’s most beloved and enduring characters will be brought together for a new 12-part series. The popular comics company pitched Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man together in 2013’s WORLDS COLLIDE, which culminated in the biggest crossover event in Archie’s history.

The second bash, titled WORLDS UNITE, will be fully detailed at New York Comic-Con later this week, though executive director of editorial over at Archie, Paul Kaminski, has spoken to Polygon, revealing that this team-up will outdo the first.

In a prepared statement, Kiminski stated, “When the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man collided in the pages of Archie Action comics, readers, fans and retailers made it the biggest crossover event in Archie Action history. That historic crossover storyline changed the comic book worlds of Sega and Capcom’s iconic video game characters forever, but now an even bigger event is on the horizon. You saw what happened when worlds collided, now see what happens when WORLDS UNITE! And this time, no universe will be safe…”

This latest crossover event is set for a Spring 2015 release.
