As Detective Pikachu continues to amass its cast, Rita Ora has been brought in to join the action.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, with the singer-cum-actress having landed a mystery role in the upcoming effort. Ora joins the impressive ensemble of Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe, Bill Nighy, Suki Waterhouse, and Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the titular Pikachu.

Plot-wise, the early word is that Detective Pikachu will focus on Justice Smith’s character as he tries to locate his kidnapped father. Newton will be playing a journalist involved in helping Smith in his quest along with the famed Pokémon.

To be directed by Goosebumps’ Rob Letterman, Detective Pikachu is currently set for a May 10th, 2019 release.
