Award-winning US film critic Roger Ebert has passed away at the age of 70. Ebert had battled with cancer for over ten years. 

Among Ebert’s many other accomplishments include the authoring of over 20 books on the subject of film, and the creation of the long-running Robert Ebert Film Festival in Illinois.
