As well as being the star of THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT David Hess also composed the music. His early career was as a song writer/performer – he wrote for Elvis, and his song “Speedy Gonzales” reached no 2 in the UK when performed by Pat Boone.
I met him a few years ago at the Festival of Fantastic Films, and he was a really nice bloke, the total opposite of the heavies and psychos he played. He even performed “Speedy” on acoustic at the end of fest party.
Other credits include SWAMP THING, HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK and the recent horror/comedy SMASH CUT.
