Following some problems earlier this year, Mission: Impossible 6 has finally been given an official release date.

Those problems centred on a pay dispute between star Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media. September saw those issues smoothed over, and all was well once more. Still, at that point M:I6 was still without a release date. It’s now been revealed, though, that the sixth movie in the fan favourite franchise will hit screens on July 27th, 2018.

All that’s known on Mission: Impossible 6 right now is that Cruise will be back, and it’s expected that many of the series’ familiar faces, such as Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson, will be back for this next outing.

Christopher McQuarrie is back to write and direct the film, with production set to start next spring.
