With Sony Pictures having now updated their impending release schedule, what’s most noteworthy about this is that a release date has been set for the studio’s upcoming Masters of the Universe movie.

With McG on board to direct (yep, we’re not exactly thrilled by that either), Masters of the Universe is now set to hit the big screen on December 18th, 2019. The film will follow the story of Adam, Prince of Eternia, who has the ability to transform into the ever-smiling uber-hero He-Man as he battles to protect his world from the nefarious threat of Skeletor. Of course, these bitter rivals have most recently been seen shilling financial products for MoneySupermarket.com…

Elsewhere, Sony has confirmed Angry Birds 2 for a September 20th, 2019 release, and the upcoming animated Spider-Man picture has been brought forward by a week to December 14th, 2018.
