Whilst we knew that THE CONJURING spin-off ANNABELLE started production in January of this year, we didn’t know when the movie would see a release. Well today that changes, for it’s been revealed that ANNABELLE will be hit cinemas on 3rd October.

The story of the spin-off will focus on the creepy-ass Annabelle doll that was glimpsed in James Wan’s THE CONJURING; a film that took a mightily-impressive $318 million at the box office. Despite its ties to Wan’s movie, don’t expect to see Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s Ed and Lorraine Warren appearing. Instead, the spin-off will star Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton.

As Wan has moved away for directing horrors in favour of fast cars, directing duties are being handled by John Leonetti, who worked as the director of photography on THE CONJURING and also directed 1997’s MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION.
