Just when you thought that everything to do with zombies had been done to death, there’s always something else shambling out of the graveyard. UK-based independent  comics producer Subversive Comics have announced  that they are launching the final part of their current BEARLANDS: ZOMBIE BEARS book via crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter. That’s right, undead teddy bears.

The saga follows the adventures of cigar-chomping, samurai sword-wielding, motorbike-riding Badass Bear as he roams across a world cursed with a zom-bear infestation. Subversive Comics have even produced a short animation to drive home how silly all of this is. 

The 60-page graphic novel will conclude the fluffy nightmare that began in with issue zero in May 2012. The Kickstarter allows newcomers to catch up with the entire thing via its various crowd-funding options and is worth a click simply for the appalling “Night of the Living Ted” style puns, and rewards include t-shirts, hardback books and your very own undead bear to give you nightmares.
