With Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster getting his own 2018 movie with Rick Famuyiwa’s The Flash, now comes word on another superhero who’ll be turning up in the film.

As the title suggests, yes, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg will be making an appearance alongside the Sultan of Speed. Variety is reporting the news, with no other real details known on just what role Fisher’s Victor Stone will have to play in the film or how large his part will be. This, of course, comes on the back of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad featuring cameos from both Ben Affleck’s Batman and Miller’s Flash.

This won’t be the first time we’ll have seen Fisher’s Vic Stone, though, for the character was briefly glimpsed in this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will have a big part to play in Zack Snyder’s Justice League when that arrives next year.

Given how Cyborg is already confirmed to be getting his own 2020 solo movie, Warner Brothers clearly need to get the hero ‘out there’ for casual fans to get accustomed to before then. In the comic book realm, star athlete Victor Stone had a tragic accident that ultimately resulted in him winding up as part-man, part-machine. Initially a member of the Teen Titans, Cyborg ended up becoming a fully-fledged, card-carrying member of the Justice League. To be blunt though, to us, and to many comic fans for that matter, the character is so often one of the dullest and boring heroes on the DC roster. If The WB are intent on making Vic such a key part of their DCEU, there’s certainly plenty of work ahead for them.

As for The Flash, all that we know on that front right now is that Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will be joined by Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West when the film arrives on March 3rd, 2018.
