Cynthia Erivo and Renée Zellweger are teaming up for thriller series Raising Wild, which Deadline reports is in the works at Apple TV+.

Raising Wild will star Erivo, while Zellweger is aboard to executive produce the series, which is produced by MGM and hails from American Gods’ Damian Kindler and scribe Amber Alexander. Erivo also exec produces under her Edith’s Daughter production banner with Solome Williams.

Erivo is leads the series as a neuropsychologist wanted for fraud, kidnapping and murder. Throughout Raising Wild, her public fall from grace will bring to question whether she was the victim of a dark and dangerous conspiracy, or if she presents a clear and present threat to society.

Two-time Oscar nominee Erivo recently worked with Apple TV+ on Roar, starring in the anthology episode titled “The Woman Who Found Bite Marks on Her Skin,” opposite Jake Johnson and P.J. Byrne. She also is playing Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West opposite Ariana Grande in the upcoming Wicked musical from Universal. Other recent projects include a voice role in Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and the title role in the Aretha Franklin biopic Genius.

No release date has yet been announced, but stay tuned for more information on the project as we hear it.
