CBS’ upcoming Star Trek: Discovery has brought in another new cast member, and it’s one that’s likely to please many a genre fan.

The network has announced that Rainn Wilson will be playing Harry Mudd in the series. Mudd will be known to longtime Star Trek fans, as the charismatic conman – played by Roger C. Carmel – was a part of the original series. For Wilson, he’s known to genre fans for the likes of The Office, Super, Juno, House of 1000 Corpses and will be seen in next year’s much anticipated prehistoric shark effort, Meg.

This latest addition joins a Discovery cast that’s currently made up of Jason Isaacs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, Sam Vartholomeos, Mary Wiseman, James Frain, Michelle Yeoh, Shazad Latif, Chris Obi, and Mary Chieffo.

Star Trek: Discovery will debut on CBS later this year before moving to CBS All Access in the US. Across the rest of the globe, including the UK, the show will find a home on Netflix.
