The CW’s Supergirl has moved to bring in yet another new face, this time adding Rahul Kohli to its ranks.

According to EW, the iZombie actor has landed the role of Jack Spheer, “a charismatic tech genius who has spent decades working on a medical innovation that will eradicate major illnesses and change the face of the world – if it works.”

For those well versed in DC’s comic book realm, you’ll be aware that Jack Spheer is somebody who has the villainous alter-ego of Biomax. In the comics world, Spheer is the CEO of Biospheer Technologies and creates the genetic tissue-altering Biomax Process. The aim for Spheer was to use the Biomax Process to change the production of food, but all goes wrong when he ends up plummeting into a vat of the Biomax formula. It’s then that he arises as the villain known as Biomax.

On his addition to Supergirl, Rahul Kohli enthused, “I’m so excited to be working on Supergirl starring as Jack Spheer. It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”

Kohli will debut in the eighteenth episode – titled Ace Reporter – of the current season to do a technology-driven presentation. No details are known just yet on whether the televisual Jack Spheer will follow fully in the path of his no-good comic book counterpart, although he will have a history with Katie MaGrath’s Lena Luthor.

Supergirl currently airs on Sky1 here in the UK.
