Following on from Naomi Scott landing the Pink Ranger gig, Lionsgate’s upcoming Power Rangers movie has now found its Red Ranger.

The role of Jason/Red Ranger is often depicted as the leader of the Power Rangers team, and that role has gone to relative newcomer Dacre Montgomery. When recent speculation claimed that there was a shortlist for the Jason gig, Montgomery’s name was nowhere to be seen. Regardless, he’s now officially on board for this latest redo of the famed Power Rangers franchise.

With two of the titular team now in place, expect to hear more casting announcements over the coming weeks as the Dean Israelite-helmed Power Rangers gets set for a January 13th, 2017 release.
