Marvel’s Guardians of
the Galaxy Vol. 2 has got itself a new addition in the form of Pom Klementieff.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that the French actress has
landed an unknown role in James Gunn’s Guardians
sequel. Klementieff is likely best known for appearing in Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake, and she was apparently
the top choice after Marvel conducted a search for an actress of Asian roots for this
mystery role.

This new addition joins the returning Chris Pratt, Zoe
Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Karen Gillan. It’s also
presumed that Josh Brolin’s Thanos will be back, not to mention Michael Rooker’s
Yondu.

At present, Gunn’s Guardians
of the Galaxy Vol. 2
is set for a May 5th, 2017 release.
