As a special warm-up for Film 4 FrightFest, which takes place on Bank Holiday weekend in London, the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square will be showing a special screening of Plan 9 from Outer Space – with a live score!

The ‘classic’ Ed Wood film has had an all-new music track composed by DJ Cheeba, who will be performing it ‘live’ in synch with the film.

Using records, laptops, DJ mixers, midi controllers, iPad based synths and drum machines, a voice changing megaphone and an ultra-rare QFO turntable, DJ Cheeba adds a more dark and terrifying atmospheric edge to this classic film.

If you’ve never seen the film, it doesn’t actually live up to its reputation of ‘worst film ever made’ since it’s so damn enjoyable, despite the wobbly sets, clunky dialogue and bad acting.

Find out more about the performance here, and tickets priced £12.50 can be booked here.
