Doctor Who fans have a chance to see newly-announced companion Pearl Mackie live in the West End, where she’s currently appearing in the National Theatre’s Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Pearl celebrated the announcement of her landing the role in Doctor Who with other cast members on Saturday night on the Curious Incident set at the Gielgud Theatre. She leaves the production in mid-June, so book now.

The picture shows Pearl (centre) surrounded by members of the Curious Incident company:

Sion Daniel Young, Rebecca Lacey, Matthew Trevannion, Stephen Beckett, Mary Stockley, Pearl Mackie, Sean McKenzie, Penelope McGhie, Mark Rawlings and Jacqueline Clarke.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is adapted by Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon’s best-selling book and directed by Marianne Elliott, Associate Director of the National Theatre, with set designs by Bunny Christie.

There’s still time to catch Pearl on stage in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, which is running at the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Pearl will be in the show until Saturday, June 18th, 2016 and a new cast begins on Monday, June 20th. The production is currently booking until the end of January 2017.
