With news earlier this week that director Michelle MacLaren has departed WONDER WOMAN, Warner Brothers has wasted little time in bringing in her replacement. The Hollywood Reporter has word that it will be Patty Jenkins who will be helming the Gal Gadot-starrer. Jenkins is best known for directing MONSTER and was also at one point on board to direct THOR: THE DARK WORLD.

The character of Wonder Woman will debut in next year’s BATMAN V SUPERMAN before getting her own solo movie, currently set for a June 23rd, 2017 release. She’ll also be a part of the two-part JUSTICE LEAGUE that is set to begin in November 2017.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is released on March 25th, 2016.
