If you’re like us and loved the South Korean zombie apocalypse film, Train to Busan, then we have some excellent news for you: Netflix has released the first full trailer for its upcoming series Parasyte: The Grey, and it looks fantastic.

The new series hails from filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho, who was behind said Train to Busan as well as the dark fantasy series, Hellbound.

In the trailer, a plague of unidentified parasites take over human hosts to gain power in South Korea. Per the series logline, “[Su-in is] a young woman caught between her humanity and parasitic influence. Su-in doesn’t fully belong to either side – neither the parasites seeking to take over human society nor the team dedicated to eradicating parasitic organisms, called “The Grey.”” But, as Heidi, the parasite that latched onto Su-in in the aftermath of a near-fatal accident, says, “We would both be dead if we weren’t together. You and I have no choice but to coexist.”

The trailer is giving The Last of Us meets Venom, and we’re very much on board with that pairing.

Parasyte: The Grey is based on Hitoshi Iwaaki’s best-selling manga series, Parasyte. The Netflix series sttars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, Lee Jung-hyun, Kwon Hae-ho and Kim In-kwon. Yeon created, co-writes, and directs the show.

Parasyte: The Grey premieres on Netflix on April 5th. Watch the trailer below:
