As well as now being in production, the sequel to 2014’s Paddington has brought in two big new additions in the shape of Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson.

In Paddington 2, Grant will play faded actor Phoenix Buchanan, whilst Gleeson will be playing Knuckles McGinty, a safe-cracker who eventually becomes an ally of Paddington’s. The duo join a cast that includes the returning Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Hugh Bonneville, Jim Broadbent and Peter Capaldi. Ben Whishaw will again be voicing the titular marmalade sandwich muncher.

To mark the sequel’s production, Studio Canal tweeted out the following poster:

Paul King, who directed the first movie, is back to helm Paddington 2, which is currently set for a November 10th, 2017 release. Following that, it’s already been confirmed that a third film will be happening.
