Despite varying reactions from critics and fans, the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise is a cash cow for Disney. A fifth PIRATES movie is already being developed, and now comes news that Orlando Bloom has had talks about returning as Will Turner, a role he played in the first three entries in the franchise.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Bloom revealed, “There have certainly been some discussions about it and I’m open to it. That whole experience working with Johnny was really amazing for me. I had a great time working with Johnny, one of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved. I was such a massive fan of Johnny Depp growing up so to get up close and personal to Johnny and see how he worked as an actor was just a massive gift.”

This next PIRATES film, subtitled DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES, will also be seeing Geoffrey Rush and Keith Richards return to the fold, not to mention that Johnny Depp fella making an appearance.

To be directed by KON-TIKI’s duo of Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES is currently set for a July 7th, 2017 release.
