With Captain America and Iron Man set to butt heads in next year’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, the official synopsis has now been released for the Russo brothers’ film.

The official word reads:

Following the event of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Captain America and Iron Man, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will start shooting in Atlanta on April 1st, with the film set for a May 6th, 2016 release. Before that, you can find Cap and the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, released in the UK on April 24th.
