ARROW and THE FLASH. AGENTS OF S.H.E.I.L.D do it (well, sort of). THE SIMPSONS had an episode devoted to them.

The infamous crossover episode has become a staple of the original show and its spin-off. But don’t expect this to happen with THE WALKING DEAD and its spin-off, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD.

As executive producer Greg Nicotero told Digital Spy, “The spin-off takes place basically two years before our show, so I don’t really see those two coming into contact,” so there is “no intention of crossing over the two shows.”

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD will be set in Los Angeles at the outset of the zombie plague, so not only would there be a timeline disparity but also a geographical one. There’s been five seasons of THE WALKING DEAD and Grimes and co. still seem to be stuck in Georgia or its neighbouring states. It would probably take them a century to cross half a continent to L.A.

Kim Dickens (HOUSE OF CARDS) and Cliff Curtis (GANG RELATED) are heading the prequel’s cast, which will premiere in the US this summer.
