Today brings word that Patty Jenkins’ upcoming Wonder Woman could be close to adding Nicole Kidman to its ranks.

The Wrap is reporting that the Academy Award winner is in talks to join the film, which would see her added to a cast that’s currently made up of Gal Gadot’s titular Diana and Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor. No exact specifics are known on just which role Kidman is in talks for, although current rumour suggests that she could be set to play a “high-ranking Amazonian warrior”, with Amazonian Queen Hippolyta one name that has come up. Then again, sorceress Circe has been speculated as being the villain of Wonder Woman, so that’s another possibility.

At present, Wonder Woman is currently set for a November 10th, 2017 release. Before that, of course, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will make her cinematic debut in next March’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before then going on to be a key figure in Zack Snyder’s two-part Justice League.
