More bits n’ bobs from this week’s genre news!

*Oh joy of joys! James Cameron’s TITANIC is getting a 3D re-release next year, just in time for the ship’s 100 year anniversary of its maiden voyage – and the subsequent death of 1500 passengers.

*Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment is releasing a board game based on THE WALKING DEAD.

*People eagerly awaiting Nick Love’s remake of the cult UK cop show THE SWEENEY have further reason to question the casting of rapper ‘Plan B’ – he’s currently responsible for a delay in filming while he finishes up some more important stuff, “As soon as I’ve finished touring in America with Adele I’m going to finish my film, finish my next album and start work on The Sweeney in November. I’m kind of holding it up.” Bet co-star/producer Ray Winstone was chuffed when he read that.

*ANTICHRIST Lars Von Trier was banned from Cannes this week. Find out why below. Oh, the scamp!

*Bummer. The GHOSTBUSTERS’ firehouse is up for sale due to NY City budget cuts.

*While announcing the new addition to THE HOBBIT, Peter Jackson revealed his long-rumoured DAM BUSTERS remake is still on the cards, and Stephen Fry is first to be cast.

*Here’s the first look at J.J. Abrams’ other new show PERSON OF INTEREST, starring LOST alum Michael Emerson.

And gets to save the world. Come on! It’s everybody’s dream, isn’t it?” Your dream role, mate – our nightmare. Back off!

*Here’s the first look at BATMAN LIVE, premiering at the UK’s MEN Arena in July. I was preparing to give this a bit of a ribbing, but I kinda wanna see it now!
