The concept is an interesting one, but I’m struggling to see how it could work outside of a 2-hour (straight-to-DVD) thriller. Networks are notoriously prickly when it comes to stories that are heavily serialised in nature, so it’s a brave move on CW’s part. Whether they’ll be so brave as to see the story through to the end if the viewing figures are less than stellar is another matter entirely.

*It's been 8 years since the last episode of BTVS aired. Man, I feel old.
