The Internet takes a break from ruining THE DARK KNIGHT RISES* today to bring us some juicy spoilerage for Joss Whedon’s THE AVENGERS instead. Well, that is if you consider the fact that there’s going to be some exposions and mayhem in THE AVENGERS a spoiler – cos that’s what we got here courtesy of local Cleveland lookiloos! Oh, and a fresh look at Cap’s new duds.

Okay, so what can we gather from this footage (other than The Avengers certainly have their work cut out for them!). Who or what in the Marvel Universe is capable of that much destruction? Notice the aim of the cop’s gun in that second video? This thing (or things) looks tall. Or are they in some kind of ship(s)? And surely somebody out there recognises the weapon in that last pic? Anybody?

THE AVENGERS is released worldwide on the 4th of May 2012.
