But you promised you’d be back!

Ever since Schwarzenegger announced his movie comeback, he’s been talking up his return to many of his higher profile movies – most importantly TERMINATOR, TRUE LIES, PREDATOR, and, erm, TWINS*.

Well, it looks like we’ll now have a longer wait than expected, because as of today all projects are on indefinite hold, with his managers issuing the following statement to his agents at CAA:

“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes CRY MACHO, THE TERMINATOR franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”

The reason for all this – oh, you know, that whole lovechild thing (we’ll leave it to the thousands of other gossip sites to peddle the gory details.)

Selfish as it might be, we’re just a little gutted that we might not get our KINDERGATON COP 2** after all.

*Yep, this was actually rumoured!
**No, we made that one up.

UPDATE!

News comes in that the animated TV series THE GOVERNATOR – Schwarzenegger’s collaboration with comic legend Stan Lee – has now also been dumped in light of the above. Seems that the show also featured ex-wife Maria Shriver fighting crime alongside him. Probably for the best then.

Check out the trailer if you haven’t already. Not a great loss if we’re honest.
