It is our sad duty to report the passing of award-winning comic-book artist Gene Colan, who died yesterday after losing his battle with liver disease. He was 84.

Colan enjoyed an incredible 65-year long career in comic book illustration, working for both Marvel and DC. He is best known for his celebrated runs on Daredevil, Howard The Duck, and of course, The Tomb Of Dracula. His most recent work was in 2009, illustrating Captain America #601 for Marvel.

Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
