Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot MAN OF STEEL has now added
celebrated actor Laurence Fishburne to its already impressive cast. In a move
that is sure to provoke a lot of fan debate, the MATRIX star will be joining
the eclectic ensemble as The Daily Planet’s editor Perry White.

We all know there’s going to be a bit of an outcry in regards to the ethnicity of the comic book character, but I’m not going to rise to it – Fishburne is a bloody good actor, so I personally couldn’t care less.

Previously announced are Henry Cavill as Clark/Superman, Kevin
Costner and Diane West as Ma & Pa Kent, Russell Crowe as our hero’s
biological father Jor-El, with Julia Ormond as his mother Lara. Rounding out
the cast is Michael Shannon as General Zod.

MAN OF STEEL will hit cinemas June 2013.

What
do you guys think of the casting so far on MAN OF STEEL? Will Snyder be the one to successfully deliver the first decent (live-action) Superman film in 28 years (yes, I’m counting III)? Let us know with your
