For us Kevin Smith fans in the UK the wait for his tenth movie
has been particularly excruciating. Unable to attend any of the RED STATE
screenings that the filmmaker toured across America, we’ve had to wait
patiently as audiences sang its praises across the Internet. Sure, we’ve been
able to enjoy the teaser trailers, posters, podcast, and all the media hoopla
surrounding it, but when was it going to be our turn dagnabbit?! Well, the wait
is almost over, guys – with a UK release tentatively scheduled for September 30th.
And
to tide us over ’til then, the fine folk at Smodcast Pictures have issued an
awesome new trailer and poster for us to enjoy, (quick
warning though, it is Smith, so expect the language to be a bit spicy on
occasion.) Check ’em out…
If you reside Stateside and haven’t yet managed to see RED STATE, it will be playing at the Quentin Tarantino owned New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles from August 19th to the 25th (thus qualifying it for next year’s Oscars!), before Lionsgate releases the movie on VOD from Sep 1st.
