Fighting games have always featured some pretty crazy guest appearances and crossovers. It’s a genre of game that can pretty much eradicate any semblance of continuity and throw any combatant into the mix without breaking any fourth walls, and developers are continuing to make the most of that facility.

Today Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment revealed the fourth downloadable content character for MORTAL KOMBAT – The surprising inclusion of horror icon Freddy Krueger from A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET fame.
