Blimey, getting a bit cocky these studios, aren’t they? Last week we had Sony pencilling in a May 2014 release date for their AMAZING SPIDER-MAN sequel (the first, as we all know, isn’t out until next summer) and now Lionsgate have followed suit with their own overly-optimistic announcment that we’ll be seeing CATCHING FIRE, the follow-up to their upcoming HUNGER GAMES adaptation on November 22nd 2013.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Steady on there, guys – your TWILIGHT meets BATTLE ROYALE mash-up doesn’t even hit the cinemas until next March! Nobody’s even seen it yet – and judging from the rather lacklustre response to the property amongst Starburst readers, it doesn’t seem many even want to, let alone a sequel.

Which makes me wonder why I’m even bothering to run a news piece on it quite frankly. I’ll grab my coat.

Anybody interested in what on earth we’re talking about, check our previous piece here.

But for all you HUNGER GAMES fans out there, can you convince your fellow readers that Lionsgate are right and this property is the next big thing? Let us know with your comments below!
