We already know that Gary Anthony Williams will be playing Bebop in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, but we now know who will be playing his partner in crime, Rocksteady.

It had been rumoured the WWE grappler Sheamus had bagged himself a mystery role in the follow up to last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it’s now been revealed that he’ll be playing Rocksteady, the humanoid rhino who is one of Shredder’s main lackeys. Both Bebop and Rocksteady made their debut in the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja (or Hero for us UK folks) Turtles cartoon that first hit screens back in 1987. Much like the cartoon versions, it’s believed that the rogues will initially be a part of Shredder’s gang before becoming the trigger-happy mutated villains that we all know and love.

Courtesy of The Daily Mail (apparently it is good for something after all), images have surfaced from the TMNT2 set which show both Bebop and Rocksteady pre-transformation, plus there’s a look at Brian Tee’s Shredder and Brittany Ishibashi as Karai.

As well as Williams, Sheamus (real name Stephen Farrelly), Tee and Ishibashi, the film will also feature Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, William Fichtner as Eric Sacks, and Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman. It’s also believed that Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek and Noel Fisher will be back as the Turtles themselves.

To be directed by David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is currently set for a June 3rd, 2016 release.
