With the ‘Rogue Cut’ of X-Men: Days of Future Past set for an imminent release, director Bryan Singer has revealed a first look at this new version of the time-travel mutant mash-up movie that hit cinema screens last year.

The original plan for the movie involved several key scenes featuring Anna Paquin’s Rogue. Unfortunately this element of the story was removed when editing cuts were made, meaning the Rogue character that we’d seen in X-Men, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand was completely removed from Days of Future Past. This new version of the film restores Rogue and reportedly puts an entirely different spin on certain plot points seen throughout the movie.

From Singer himself, here’s a sneak peek of what to expect from the Rogue Cut, complete with plenty of never-before-seen clips of Rogue, Beast and Mystique:

Now despite Singer’s video advertising this new cut of the film for July 14th, us UK folk actually get it a day earlier than our American cousins, meaning that X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut is released on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK on Monday, July 13th.
