In some major news, Disney has moved to update its upcoming release schedule. What makes this most interesting to genre fans is that, as well as Star Wars: Episode IX given a confirmed release date, a new date has also been booked in for the next Indiana Jones movie.

First up, Episode IX – previously just loosely announced for 2019 – has been set for May 24th, 2019. No major details are known about that film just yet bar that Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow will be directing. Obviously we’ll know a lot more of how things will pan out in that movie once Star Wars: The Last Jedi heads to the big screen this December.

Where Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones Jr. is concerned, the fifth Indiana Jones movie has now been set for June 10th, 2020 – almost a year after the previously-announced July 2019 release date. All that we know about that to-be-titled film is that Harrison Ford will once again be donning the fedora and cracking the bullwhip, and that Steven Spielberg will be directing.

Elsewhere, Rich Moore’s Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 has been pushed back from March 2018 to November 21st, 2018, while Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time has been brought forward from April 6th, 2018 to March 9th, 2018.
