20th Century Fox have got some pretty big movies lined up for the next few years, and now there’s been some news on the release dates for some of the studio’s big hitters.

Firstly, a new poster for Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant has revealed that the director’s follow-up to Prometheus will hit cinemas on May 19th next year rather than the originally planned date of August 4th. In addition to Alien: Covenant, there’s also new release dates for Fox’s Marvel movies, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and possibly Avatar 2.

The studio has confirmed that they’ll be releasing Marvel movies on November 2nd, 2018 and February 14th, 2019, with one of those dates likely to be for Deadpool 2. Interestingly, a third Marvel effort was initially pencilled in for October 6th, 2017, but that unknown movie has been removed from Fox’s release slate and replaced with Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which means that Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman sequel has been pushed back a few months from its original June 16th, 2017 release date.

On the Avatar front, an untitled Fox/Lightstorm film has been given a release date of December 21st, 2018. It’s not confirmed at this stage, but that unknown movie is believed to indeed by the first of James Cameron’s four Avatar sequels.
