Ahead of the upcoming Blu-ray release of the entire Phantasm franchise, now comes word that there may well still be life left in the property.

After the Tall Man himself, Angus Scrimm sadly passed away early last year, it was said that Phantasm: Ravager would be the last film in the franchise. Potentially not, though.

As part of an interview included with this new Blu-ray collection (as per DreadCentral), creator Don Coscarelli teased, “All I can tell you about that subject is rest assured that we are constantly researching and experimenting here in the Phantasm labs, so who knows what we might cook up in the near future. However, I do think that Phantasm: Ravager will be the last you see of the original Phantasm actors in the series.”

It’s just landed in our offices as of yesterday, so expect to see our full review of Phantasm 1 – 5: Limited Edition Blu-ray Collection online shortly ahead of its April 11th US release and April 24th UK release.
