Following last month’s news that MTV’s Scream TV series was being rebooted for its third season, now comes some brief new news on what lies ahead for the series.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, it’s been confirmed that none of the cast members from the previous two seasons will be returning for the six-episode third year – a third season that’s being described as “more inclusive” and “less white.” Someone who will be involved, though, is The Vampire Diaries’ Brett Matthew, who has been brought in as showrunner. Elsewhere, Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty will serve as executive producers under Latifah’s Flavor Unit banner.

Scream: The TV Series can be found on Netflix here in the UK, and, as ever, expect more on this reboot as we get it.
