The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Netflix is to develop a live-action show based on THE LEGEND OF ZELDA. The current description of the show is that it will essentially be a family version of GAME OF THRONES.

It’s believed that Netflix will be working extremely closely with Nintendo on the project, and the search is currently on for a writer.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA debuted way back in 1986, spawning over twenty follow-up games, a 1989 animated series, and a comic book run in the ‘90s.

Expect more on this as it develops.
