Just when you think that we’re running out of superheroes…

Netflix has announced that they’ll be debuting a Stretch Armstrong animated series on the on-demand service next year. This will be in conjunction with Hasbro Studios, marking the company’s first original series for the service.

Plot-wise, the action/comedy series will focus on a busy teen called Jake Armstrong. When he and his two best buddies are exposed to an experimental chemical, things take a turn for the strange as they become Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters. This band of stretchable superheroes will then embark on a series of unlikely adventures as they explore their new powers.

As well as Stretch Armstrong, Netflix also announced sci-fi drama The Greenhouse and the musical Lalaloopsy for next year.
