Neil Marshall is an important figure in modern British horror, going some way to rejuvenate popular interest in the genre with cult classics like DOG SOLDIERS and masterpieces like THE DESCENT. Marshall has also helmed two of the most ambitious episodes of GAME OF THRONES: THE BATTLE FOR THE BLACKWATER and THE WATCHERS ON THE WALL.

ScreenDaily has reported that Marshall hasn’t left horror behind, as he’s set to executive produce DARK SIGNAL, a ghost story directed by Edward Evers-Swindell (who worked with Marshall on THE DESCENT), with Jonas Babics and Paul DuBois producing.

The script, penned by Evers-Swindell and Anthony Jones, ‘follows a stranded woman who must solve the mystery of a murdered girl whose spirit has returned with a message.

GAME OF THRONES’ James Cosmo and Cinzia Monreale (blind girl Emily in Lucio Fulci classic THE BEYOND) are set to star.

Neil Marshall is currently filming an episode of the upcoming CONSTANTINE TV series.
