Fans of the old Amicus anthology films should head over to the BAD MEDICINE Kickstarter campaign to check out a new film from Birmingham based production company Venomous Little Man, the team behind ASCENSION, which won James Hart the award for Best Director at last year’s Bram Stoker International Film Festival in Whitby.

Written by Dave Jeffrey, author of the hit zombie novel NECROPOLIS RISING, all funds raised will go to shooting the first story of the movie.

Already attached to the project are actors Barbie Wilde (HELLRAISER II: HELLBOUND), Derek Melling (INBRED), Laurence Sanders (THE SEASONING HOUSE) and Tom So (CASINO ROYALE).

The film is set in a modern day mental health unit where a therapist is holding a group therapy session. Five participants each recount their story in the hope the therapist can resolve their trauma and help them to move on. But what happens if the therapist is not what he seems and has something far more sinister in mind for his patients?

There are some great perks on offer for all levels of investment, with a screen ‘thank you’ credit available for only £1, and a chance to be an extra in the film for £100 among the usual DVDs and script options.

For more information, and to contribute, head over to the Kickstarter page.
