In this age of endless reboots, remakes and sequels, it’s not often you get to read about truly original genre projects. So enjoy this moment while it lasts!

Variety have reported on a new script acquisition by QED, entitled Yellowstone Falls, which would see a group of wolf cubs and their mother do battle with savage, mutated humans in the wake of an apocalyptic event. But don’t expect any anthropomorphising here, the script is largely dialogue free. Told you it was unique!

Whether the Yellowstone in the title refers to the film’s setting, or is the reason behind the apocalypse itself (frighteningly there’s actually a rather large super volcano sitting right underneath the famous park for realsies) remains to be seen. Though its author Dan Kunka is new on the scene, we reported on his previous sale, Bermuda Triangle, just over a year ago. Let’s hope these projects start to gain some traction very soon.
