The Wrap is reporting that Josh Helman is the latest new face to join Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Best known for THE PACIFIC, Holman’s role in DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is currently being kept a secret.

Singer’s latest X-film sees an important political figure assassination by a group of rogue mutants. As a result, this leads to an alternative future where all mutants are hunted by deadly Sentinels.

Assembling a rather impressive ensemble, the film already has James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Binbing, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Adan Canto and Peter Dinklage signed on. There’s also strong talk that James Marsden has also signed on to return to the series.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST has also now been moved to a 23rd May, 2014 release date.
