Jurassic Park 4

It’s been a while since there has been any movement on the fourth instalment of dino-franchise JURASSIC PARK. The closest we came to a fourth was in 2005 when John Sayles wrote a movie that took the franchise in a new and frankly bizarre direction with the introduction of dino-human genetic super soldiers which would have been interesting but was too ‘out there’ to ever get made. Steven Spielberg mentioned the project was on the burner again a couple of years ago but that’s been it… until today!

Screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver who co-wrote last summer’s hit RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES have been hired to write the fourth movie with Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy producing. There is no clue as to the plot however, if it will follow the daring trail blazed by Sayles or be another by the numbers run around the jungle remains to be seen.

In the meantime the original movie will be re-released in 3D next summer by Universal who also recently re-released JAWS in UK cinemas.
