Here it is folks, the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the full DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer has finally been unleashed!

Seen it? Good. Now we can talk about it…

While it’s nice to see all those dozens of leaked set pics finally being brought to life (especially the incredible looking Gotham stadium set-piece), I’ve got to admit – it didn’t actually do much for me. The rumours of Bane’s voice being pretty difficult to hear prove all too true, and I’m still thoroughly dubious of Nolan touting this as an ‘epic’ trilogy ender – film one: Bruce Wayne learns to be Batman; film two: Batman does some stuff, the Joker messes with his head, Batman gives it legs; film three: Batman returns after eight years in exile (what?) only to get battered by Bane (if the poster is to be taken on face value that is). It’s hardly a fitting story arc for the Caped Crusader we’ve all come to know and love.

Hopefully I’ll be proved wrong when the thing is released next July, but for now the hype isn’t quite working for me. 

Got a sneaky feeling I’m going to alone on this one.
